Allelic exclusion is a process by which one allele of a gene is expressed while the other allele is not expressed or doesn't show any protein expression.

Somatic recombination refers to the process involving the formation of immunoglobin genes through recombination of the germ line genetic elements in a single location.

Somatic hyper-mutation  is a cellular mechanism by which the immune system adapts to the new foreign elements that confront it.
